Can You Color Match Farrow and Ball Paint?

Can You Color Match Farrow and Ball Paint?

Yes, you can easily color match Farrow and Ball paint colors.

For example, Benjamin Moore has Aura Bath and Spa paint that that mimics the matte finish and durability of Farrow and Ball's Dead Flat. For exterior application Sherwin Williams has a highly durable Satin Enamel that is similar to Farrow and Ball's Exterior paint finishes. =

Many painters do not like Farrow and Ball paint because it often requires three coats of paint. Because Farrow and Ball contains very little polymer binder, so it's chalky and marks very easily. You can see flashing sometimes and it drags as you apply it. A project requiring multple coats of paint can be costly.

We recommend choosing  a Farrow and Ball Color for inspiration and take the sample to your preferred local paint store to color match. You can order a free color card from their website.

In addition to the color sample, take the color’s paint number and/or name as many of the Farrow and Ball colors are already in the system of most paint stores.

To make sure your match is accurate, start with a getting a small sample size pot. Paint a small area on the wall and then compare the color to  the paint swatch or color card.

You can also use a tool  an online tools like Match My Paint Color to find the closest color match to your desired color in another brand. It will be less of match than the actual color, but it’ll likely still be close.

Always be sure to sample the color before purchasing a larger quantity.
